Recently, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has conducted a study on dark net websites and found that the majority of them are using the Tor network to hide their identity. The investigation also found that many of them are selling or providing various illegal drugs including heroin and cocaine on the dark Web. The study further added that a significant percentage of these sites are indulged in criminal activities like extortion, money laundering, and even fraud. The reason that most of these dark web sites remain hidden is because they do not have any website address but simply use different web service addresses for the purpose of anonymity. However, this could not be farther from the truth as the Internet can be accessed using many web service providers.
